Over the past week, fans have been shocked by the change in production John Cena After they partially moved away wrestling.

Late last month, photos of the 45-year-old surfaced online, showing him looking much thinner than he’s done since. WWE Debut back in 2002.

Since 2017, Cena has moved on to wrestling part-time and fans have been noticing the difference in his physique and that got us thinking, what has his physique been like over the years?

John Cena’s Body Evolution Over the Years

Luckily for us, the YouTube video was posted by an online account.Ilio Olva‘ photos taken from birth to 42 perfectly highlight some of Cena’s physical changes over the years.

The King of Memeability grew up in Massachusetts, USA and like most kids he was a relatively young boy and was bullied at school while growing up. At the age of 12, he asked his parents for a weightlifting bench and thus began his transformation into the icon he is today.

Growing up, Cena and his four brothers adored wrestling and even made fake belts out of cardboard for their wrestling matches together. Sena was the leader Hulk Hogan.

To combat his bullying, Cena began working out more and more, and as evidenced by the video, at age 16, he was more than proud of his new muscular physique.

At Springfield College, Cena was the captain of the American football team, wearing the number 54, a number that is now found on many of his merchandise. After college, Cena took up bodybuilding and began training to become a professional wrestler. This period was probably the peak of Cena’s physicality, and he arguably maintained it until moving to wrestling part-time in 2017.

On October 10, 2000, Cena made his unofficial WWF debut as ‘The Prototype’ and the rest is history.

Since then, Cena has become a wrestling star and his brand has grown so big that he has starred in several movies and television series. Most notably the Peacemaker series, which led to Cena’s role in 2021’s Fast and Furious 9 and 2021’s The Suicide Squad.

Last week, Cena posted a picture of himself with fans in which he looked thinner than he had in years. Still a very muscular build, but during his film and television appearances he still looked like a typical wrestler, giving fans a bit of a shock.

Over the years, John Cena has become an iconic figure not limited to the world of wrestling, and his physique has matched it.

Now, as he slowly drifts away from the wrestling world, it’s perhaps a little surprising that he slims down quite a bit.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cena regain that muscle if he returns to the ring or the right plan presents itself.
