The story of 2017 Deadpool: Bad Blood getting worse Marvel and creator Rob Liefeld have a follow-up Deadpool: Bader Blood Set for June 2023, it will feature a five-issue limited series featuring the anti-hero tangling with many fan-favorite characters like Wolverine and Spider-Man, and will mark Liefeld’s first time working on the character in five years.
Liefeld, who introduced Deadpool in 1990, notes the former bad blood Filling out Deadpool’s rogues gallery, but this new book gives Deadpool a chance to interact even more with the core Marvel Universe.
“Deadpool doesn’t really have his own rogues gallery, he mostly tangles with other heroes’ villains, so I dedicated the entirety of Bad Blood to building Thumper’s story,” says Liefield. “With Bader Blood, Thumper is moving across the gangs and criminal organizations of the Marvel Universe to track down Deadpool and deliver him into his clutches. Thumper is moving to destroy all the scientists behind the Weapon X program, and specifically the program that created him. It’s a romp that continues to build a rogues gallery for Deadpool.
Other characters featured in the graphic novel include Cable, Venompool, Arcata, Killville, and Shatterstorm.
Bader Blood It comes as Marvel Studios is gearing up for a third shoot Deadpool A film pairing Ryan Reynolds in the title role with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. The film comes from filmmaker Shawn Levy and marks the first R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will release in theaters on November 8, 2024.
