AFM 2022 According to Sales Exec Pia Patatian – The Hollywood Reporter

What I will miss most about not attending film markets during the pandemic…

After all these years of meeting clients and friends four or five times a year and building this bond, suddenly not being able to meet in person for two years was really hard!

What I don’t miss about film markets is…

I really enjoy the markets – we meet dealers from all over the world, who have become like family. We enjoy lunches and dinners and most importantly, we sell incredible movies so that they can be enjoyed around the world. What is there to complain about?

What I miss most about Los Angeles as a city is…

Other than the year-round sunny weather, there’s nothing I miss about LA!

The biggest challenge of festivals and markets working in the era of COVID is…

Trying to accommodate buyers with different time zones is complicated, and by the end of the pandemic, dealers are losing interest in meeting behind the scenes. Plus, I want my life back – meeting in person, no masks, big hugs and lots of fun!

One place I must visit while in LA is…

Whole foods.

I don’t travel without (along with my phone) …

Global access.

In LA, you always…

Get tickets to the LA Phil and see one of Gustavo Dudamel’s concerts or operas, he is such a talented conductor!

Lengthy and editedClarity.
